1. Google provides refund if you install an app within 24hrs. Does it delay charging for 24hrs, or does it reverse the charge, or does it credit your credit card, or does it give your market account credit?

The reason I ask is that if it credits your card, post currency conversions charges its actually not worth bothering to ask for a refund.

2. If I uninstall a paid app after 24hrs will the market remember that I have paid for it previously if I reinstall it in the future?

3. Are market app purchases tied to your phones hardware serial number out atte they tied to your google account?

Thanks

I think it delays charging. I've reversed sales before but don't remember seeing two transactions on my statement.

The market will remember you have paid for an app even if you remove it (after 24hours). Even on a different phone! So it follows the account not the hardware.

I think they put through an authorisation for the amount and then process the transaction later. Often MUCH later.

In my Kiwibank account, I can see online I  have a rather long list of outstanding authorisations against my Kiwibank Debit VISA.....often going back up to 6 months.

I buy a LOT of apps.
