Hi guys

Has anyone on here managed to root their milestone. I just bought one and I am not 100% sure where it is from but I think it is the Telecom XT version. The build is SHOLS_U2_02.38.2. I can't find anything online about this build. Anyways if someone can confirm that this build is from Telecom XT or if anyone has rooted their milestone of this build and could help me out that would be great.

Never mind I worked it out. Managed to get Cyanogen 6 installed

Sorry for the late reply. Here are the links that I followed to get this done.

So the first link is about installing OpenRecovery to the phone and rooting it. The links there aren't completely up to date for downloads so use the following links to get the latest files.

To download the OpenRecovery for the Milestone go here.

Before you flash the SBF file make sure you read this post and download the script attached(I could have saved a few hours if I had read it first). Also download the SBF file from there.

And finally the download for CM6 for the Milestone is here.

One difference that I found from some of the tutorials was, to boot into "Recovery" mode I had to hold "x" and the "power" button. The tutorials said it was the camera button and power.
