I have a early-release Android App called NDial. It is a Speed Dialer for the Internet. Details at

I have only been able to test it on Emulator, HTC Desire and X10-mini.

Wondering if some people with other models of droid phone could run the app and check that it

a) displays ok on the screen resolution of their device.
b) doesn't crash

It would be great if you could drop me a one-line email to or reply to this post stating Phone Model and Result (worked/crashed/etc).

The app is in the Android Market at ...

NDial - Market App

Note: I am aware that on the X10-mini there is a display size issue which I am investigating.

Thanks in advance,

Works fine on Nexus One.

Main issues are:
You probably want a Scroll View for the Main Activity (doesn't look right in horizontal)
You need to handle the orientation change when the website is viewed (maybe you're using a WebView?)

Let me know if you need any pointers.

Downloading now on Nexus One / Cyanogen Mod 6.0 (stable)

Portrait and landscape. In landscape can't scroll the screen content.

I'm on a high fibre diet.

Thanks Guys,

Yes the Scrolling and Orientation behaviour is not quite there ... but I wanted to get something stable out as early as possible ... and then take the required time to get those behaviours correct with an update.
Typical geek approach ... fix it in the mix :-)

Thanks for your efforts I appreciate it.

I've got an HTC Desire and happy to test this app, but I guess that isn't really any use to you? Hmmm, will check with a workmate who has a Samsung Galaxy and see if he can have a quick play...

Only got a Desire, which by the looks of things appears you have sorted.

Would help if I could!

numfarr: ... same display issue as Linuxluver above...
That's not an issue, it's a feature ;)

App looks interesting, will keep an eye on development.

Works well on my HTC Hero (running FroydVillain 1.5) except for the landscape mode scrolling as above.

Might be nice to be able to just "click" on the featured word plates.

Good luck.

wow .. almost one year on from the original post and we hava a update to the application.

first off ... thanks to the peoples that downloaded the V1 app and provided feedback. Much appreciated.

NDial has evolved since then and we are now pushing what we feel is a credible product in the Mobile Tagging / DOOH market space.

Details at

Would welcome feedback from anyone that downloads the update and has a play.
