Spotted some articles about this interesting looking gadget this morning: (sorry no-links allowed yet)

http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/products/accessories/compatiblephones/liveview?cc=global&lc=en#view=overview

Is it a remote control, a watch, heartrate monitor?   I dunno but it looks pretty cool.

It runs with Android 2.0 phones which, ironically, means it wont talk to any Sony Android phones. Some punters reckon this maybe why the projected release date is q4 2010, when the 2.1 upgrade is coming out for the Sony phones.

Saw projected pricing somewhere of $US100 or 80 Euros. Can't find anything about NZ release.

It would be handy if You had a slate as your phone and you just used this is the 'remote' for it. Would mean that you had to carry the slate around though. IMHO, it's kind of pointless - I can't see a huge market for it, and I can't see myself buying one.

I'm thinking remote when the phone/tablet is playing media plugged into the TV/stereo. Still, not sure I'd pay too much for that...

Plug the slate/PC/laptop in instead and control it with your phone :P Better solution tbh.
