According to the Android Developers Blog...


"Support for paid application sales is now expanded to developers in 29 countries, with today’s additions of Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Israel, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland and Taiwan."

I registered, all setup now for Google Checkout and Android Market. Just need to write an app pronto.

I wouldn't mind a Powershop app for updating meter readings and checking my power usage......if you're looking for something to do. Powershop have a developers section with the API docs there.

Since I have a smart meter, I have not much use for an app. But what would be cool is if you could take a picture of the meter and it does OCR on the image and automatically submit the readings for you :D

Cool, looks like @chrismsnz has already made good progress, so I might just leave him to continue. I've got another idea I want to pursue for a start.

I'll sign up for an API key with Powershop though as no harm in investigating.
