The owner of androidmobile.co.nz (Pete) is a member on here, you can catch him on his forums. I haven't dealt with him personally, but he seems a decent bloke :)

His user name is AndroidMNZ

Pete would only sell goods he believed were good value.

That said, do some homework on the device yourself so can buy with confidence if you wish to.

It is really hard to tell what the G11 or G10 will be like in real life. Hopefully someone who has actually bought one will post a decent review. The resistive touch screen puts me off. Does the EKEN have resistive or capacitive?

The Archos 7 0 tablet looks like a sweet piece of kit.

Cheers, Matt

Looks fun for the price, although it has a slower processor than my Android phone. Will be better when Angry Birds for Android [Full ver] is released.
I would describe it as a handy home web/email browser and games pad.

Hi Kiwi1971

That is exactly what I want, but maybe with access to 3G with a T-stick or similar device.

Cheers Paul.

If I didn't already have a netbook, I would be tempted. It is handy to have a small web enabled device in the living room, even just to settle arguments or look up film info etc.

But then I have torrents running through the netbook connected to the PS3...which is handier for me. :-)

Hi there I have ordered a silimar spec machine with HDMI  from this site it's a bit slow comming to me though due to some chinese holidays, Hopefully get this tomorrow from NZ Post
http://www.fastcardtech.com/goods-5042-APAD+MID-M701+VIP+20Ver+HDMI+720MHZ+256M+Support+TF+card+extend+to+32GB+max+7++wide-screen+LCD++touch+screen+800%2A480.html

You can get the Gpad G11 from here, slightly cheaper http://www.fastcardtech.com/goods-5093-Gpad+G11+E7003+800MHz+Android+21+70+inch+touch+HDMI+WIFI+WVGA+800%2A400+tablet+with+camera+G-sensor+Android+market.html  maybe save about $45 New Zealand Dollars I was thinking about getting this as well

I also spent $1935 NZD getting my Beautiful  Toshiba Libretto (see my post on Geekzone) runs windows 7...and from a reliable manufacture....due to the price I paid, I did not want to walk around the streets exercising with my baby watching videos and fearing dropping it...and I was curious about the android operating system.....and not quite ready to upgrade my Nokia N97 yet Smile

kiwipawl: Has anybody heard of these and if so are they any good?

http://mp4nation.net/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_36_67&products_id=440&zenid=522d88645960948e5f33440bfebdc6f5

I would suggest staying with the Gpad as it has 256mb of ram compared to 128mb ....better for watching movies......

....and HDMI conection is the way to go moving forward
