All I can say is, it's one beautiful device. I have it right now in my hands so I will try and post up some photos and happy to answer any questions you may have.

Compared to the iPad, it's lighter and you can easily hold it on one hand without feeling sore after 10 minutes.

I haven't connected it up to the internet yet but will do very shortly. First Android device for me and so far it's impressive coming from a previous Nokia and also Apple user.

OK, finally got it to talk to Vodafone!

It's amazingly fast, smooth and intuitive for a first time Android user. The size is not too big either, so I am definitely contemplating on using it as a mobile phone too (with earphones of course). More to come!

Will be interesting to see how it holds up with a large number of applications installed and whether Samsung have taken more effort to optimise the software (compared with SGS)...

I have downloaded quite a few apps and to my surprise they are all full screen and rendered very well on the Tab. Goodness me, this is one amazing device. I know I have said this before but there is no other way to describe it. Who needs a netbook!:P

I've read that review, and others.

Still interested in a users perspective, particularly in the iPad Vs Tab comparison (currently mulling getting a tablet, probably going to wait a generation and take the plunge next year, but may cave and get one earlier!).

Really need to get my hands on one of these and an iPad to play around with.

Tab has a natural advantage for me, already being an Android user, since I already have a stack of apps that I can install very simply with Appbrain...

One of the coolest aspects for me is that is supposedly has a phone in it. So you don't need both a tablet and a phone. Just the tablet will do...and a good Bluetooth headset (or two) for phone and multimedia.

The Galaxy S is really good, too, until you have about 200MB of apps on it...and then it starts to lag like a one-legged drunk climbing a sand dune in a hurricane. Yeah, you can fix by rooting the phone and employing a "lag fix" solution, but for most users that's not an option. They lack the skill or are too afraid.

Let me know how the Tab goes with 100+ apps on board.

Hasten to add the "lag" is a Galaxy S thing...None of my other Android phones behaved that way. It's not a show stopper...it's just really annoying when it happens.

You don't need Root for Voodoo lagfix (on 2.1 firmwares at any rate), which is nice since it also happens to be the best lagfix.

The GS is also quite a bit better with respect to lag on 2.2, which the Tab ships with. On my 2.2 GS I have about 60 apps installed, easily more than 200MB since NOVA/Asphalt etc are in the the mix, haven't yet felt the need for lagfix (although I will apply Voodoo once a final 2.2 build is available).

Well capacitive screen vs resistive would make a huge difference I would have thought - however there's a huge price difference so it doesn't make the decision easy.
