Why is so hard to find a decent leather case for the SGS? Every shop I went into says no we don't have them. Even Vodafone don't have any.  DSE have a Krusell brand for $39.95 and TM have some, but I am weary from buying stuff from TM after a case I bought for my Nokia 5800 had a plastic supporting edge break.

I bought mine (unused from Ebay - Australia).  Came from Hong Kong.  Arrived in about a week.  Obviously not an original Samsung one, but it fits just fine.

Looks ok, but would prefer one that is side opening or flip opening rather than having to remove the phone from the case all the time. DSE has the Krussell case, but its $39.95. I guess though its not too much to spend to protect an expensive phone

I use a Silicon case that I bought off trademe for cheap. It is a little too loose but it protects the phone well.

When you have Gorilla Glass on the top, I think the most you need to protect is the sides

A silicon case should suffice

I spend nothing.

I always wear clothing that has a clean cotton pocket to put my phone in. Either my trousers (front pocket) or my shirt (breast pocket).....or in a bag, I may put it in a "Glad" zip-lock plastic bag so it's both clean and will remain dry in the event of rain or driving off a bridge into a river. :-)

I have never bought screen protectors or any other covering for my phones. They are in mint condition. I just don't carelessly toss them into pockets or bags full of hair, crumbs from past snacks or various random plastic, glass and metal objects.

Pockets are cheapest of all....and it works.  Just don't put anything ELSE in the same pocket.
