I'm looking for an app which will allow me to listen to Radio NZ's live streams, directly if possible. When I last checked two months ago there was not anything available as far as I could determine or trial.

I have a samsung galaxy s with Android 2.1. Plenty of data to burn, getting 7 GB per month for A$25.

"Radio Time" and "Wunderadio" both work. I prefer Radio Time. I often listen to RNZ streaming over 3G while I walk to work. The data rate is low enough the 3GB promo isn't in any real danger for occasional use.

Wunderadio is good on iPod Touch, but doesn't behave nicely on Android. You can't exit it and the streams seem to stop after a few minutes.

Thanks for names of those apps.

I am now listening to Radio NZ National using "TuneIn Radio" which is the free version of "Radio Time".

TuneIn Radio also displays the programme schedules on screen which is nice. (Although I reckon Radio NZ could do with publishing the schedules in an online calendar which could be imported into our calendar apps.)

Cheers

Heh....They must have changed the name of it....Or I bought the paid version up front and never gave the other a thought.

If you install "TeeVoid", you get the Freeview TV schedules...which also include RNZ radio schedules as one of the radio channels carried on Freeview.

There be ways....
