Hi it seems that 2.1 isn't officially released in nz yet.

And i have found these two links in geekzone which shows it is possible to upgrade android 1.6 to 2.1,
for LG GT540.

I am not sure if this is alright, would there be any disadvantages or problems after upgrading this way in NZ?
