Hey all,

Just figured I should share that DSE are selling SGS for $800 right now (just saw it). It's out of stock, but seems it can be backordered.

My question is: is there any difference between a Vodafone i9000 and a parallel imported unit? Anything reasonably important which would make me want to buy a more expensive (now) parallel import?

If I can please get some feedback on this ASAP, that would be greatly appreciated :)

This is a dedicated Samsung Galaxy S I9000 Thread. Lots of members who have purchased either Vodafone or a parallel imported are in that thread.

My thoughts, there should be no essential difference, though depending on the origins, it may have sligtht differences in the firmware, eg European sourced model vs Hong Kong sourced, or Australian (Optus) sourced. I have an I897 USA variant so cant really give a definite answer for your questions.

Thanks Damager, I was looking for a quick dry reply, since the promotion ends today, that's why I didn't want to ask the question in that thread.

I've read through most of the original i9000 thread, and I'm pretty sure that I saw some differences (Voda - ParallelImports) mentioned there, but it's just too long to look through it and I had no luck with "search"
