Saw a post about the new Kies released so I uninstalled old Kies, installed new Kies.
When I plug in my I9000T and select Kies mode for the usb connection nothing at the computer end pops up. Mass storage works fine.
It doesn't bring up anything about installing drivers, or any new devices in device manager. Tried it on 3 computers and all had the same results.
The phone is rooted, and oneclicklagfix'd, but nothing else has been modified afaik.

Any ideas on how to make the phone visible to the computer, and this Kies?

hi, have you tried clicking in the top left or top right corner and choose restore/reinitilise usb drivers. also make sure you are running the default touchwhizz launcher. if you are running a custom rom then some custom slim roms remove the samsung bits that are needed for kies to connect to the phone.

For me, Kies won't work unless I have Touchwiz as my launcher and USB Debugging turned off.
