I got a Voda 845 a couple of weeks ago and there one this I can't seem to find a setting for.

I have it configured to use wireless at both home and work and 3G is working fine when I'm out and about but I can't find what to set to allow it automatically switch to 3G when I get out of range on my wireless.
Whenever I leave wireless range I get the message "Wi-Fi disconnected. Continuing Internet access will lead to traffic. Continue?" and until I manually select OK 3G stays disabled.

I can see why in some cases you wouldn't want it to auto switch but since I've pre-paid for data I would prefer that it does unless I tell it otherwise.

I work on a campus with multiple buildings and multiple hotspots but not everywhere is covered and I would prefer to keep getting my notifications as I move around without having to check if 3G is enabled all the time.

Cheers

I don't know any way to do it automatically, I always go to the notification list in order to enable 3g.
What'd be really cool for me would it if the phone could turn on wifi automatically when I approach home, since sometimes I forget to re-enable it (don't want to leave it on scanning all day).

Thanks for the responses guys, at least I know its not just me being thick.
Anyone able to confirm if the same thing happens on the Mr. Edition custom rom for the 845 that has previously been mentioned in this forum?

The default is to switch from 3G to wifi automatically but not switch from wifi to 3G automatically (due to data charges).

When you get the prompt, pressing cancel will disable data via the data switch in wireless > mobile networks, pressing ok should enable 3G to fire up (works on my v845 running stock firmware).

I believe there's an app that will override the prompt and just switch from wifi to 3G automatically, can't remember what it was called off the top of my head.
