Just got the 2.2.2 update pushed to my phone. I was quite excited when I saw there was an update waiting but let down to find it was only 2.2.2. I think it's a patch to fix some SMS bug that first surfaced on the Nexus S and 2.3 and found existed on 2.2 also.

I had the same update, and the same letdown when I noticed that it wasn't 2.3 :(

And it's broken Swype for me...

Edit: Fixed by reinstalling Swype.

2.3.2 arrived on my Nexus S this morning :-)

I guess it is a fix for the same bug, SMS's going to wrong contact.

I just had Android v2.2.2 pushed through to my Nexus One as well.

I was lending it to the boss for a few days as his SG-S is in for repairs with Samsung. They (Samsung) upgraded it to JP2 via Kies and that is a *TERRIBLE* version of the firmware. The poor guys phone  has been semi-useless for several weeks now. He doesn't want to root or flash a new ROM....He wants to stay official....so Samsung were the only support route.

When he turned my phone on and the first thing he saw after setting it up was an OTA system update he was impressed by how EASY this is compared to the Sammy/Kies nightmare (by comparison) he has endured.

He may well buy a Nexus One when the dust has settled. It has better Exchange integration than the SG-S....particularly around the calendar and accepting invitations.

Hopefully he won't get Android v2.3 on it before I get it back! :-)
