Hi Everyone
I am wondering if it is possible to tether my Windows Mobile 6.1 HP Ipaq smartphone to my Android 2.1 Tablet. The tablet does not have 3G, so when I am out it would be great to use the mobile internet I have on my ipaq for the tablet. I can tether my phone to my laptop and desktop with no problems, I am guessing the only problem with Android would be a driver issue for the phone? My tablet came with a usb cord that I can physically connect to the phone cord, so that is possible.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Troy

there is no driver support obviously for the phone model for an android tablet so it will not work via usb/sync lead. you could setup wifi hotspot on wm phone and your android tablet will pick it up as an wifi router.

Do whatever you want to do man.

Thanks for the reply guys - I really appreciate it.
I had no idea you could do a WiFi hotspot and it sounds exactly what I am looking for.
I have spent the morning playing around with WMWifiRouter, but have not had any luck with getting it to work. When I get to the point where I want the ipaq to connect to its 3g cellular network and broadcast the Wifi, nothing happens.
Is there a different program someone could recommend that is easy to configure?
Many thanks in advance
Cheers

WMWifiRouter is the best one around. You should make sure you selected the correct APN from the connections list.

Hi Mauricio
Thankyou for your reply.
I think I have selected the correct APN, but have tried all of them, and the problem I have is the same one each time - when I click on the Connect button, then theCellular to Wifi option, nothing happens, its like its not even attempting to connect.
I must have not set up something else correctly perhaps?
Cheers
Troy
