As it turns out, it looks like mobilefun.co.uk only ships to selected countries in the EU, so bummer for us Kiwis downunder..

Based on current exchange rates, that's almost the same price as when I bought my SGS from ebay and was lucky enough not to be stung by GST at custom...

Not sure if Samsung is making Gingerbread available to its current line ups, I doubt it and there are speculations on the internet that Samsung won't upgrade SGS to 2.3 due to the SGS2 not being too far away. I do think that SGS has enough grunt to run 2.3. Also this won't stop the geniuses at XDA coming up with their own custom 2.3 ROMs.

Hmmm, I dont think grunt is the problem, if anything it should be easier to run because it is optimied for speed. I think samsung are just a bit slack in giving updates...

Only a few hours and the Samsung galaxy SII will be revealed to the press at MWC!!!!!!

Here are some pretty pictures I found a few hours ago too:http://www.gizmodo.fr/2011/02/13/les-premieres-photos-des-samsung-galaxy-tab-2-et-galaxy-s2.html

I believe the official release date is March 4th - some of these online store seem to be jumping the gun...

Hmmm....interesting, available on mobilecity for preorder, although I am more interested in the 32GB version. If the preorder price of the 16GB version is NZ$1170, I wonder how much more the 32GB version would be? $1250? If that's the price, it'll be the most expensive cellphone/smartphone I would ever purchase.

Its the first time I'll be spending over $1000 on a phone but the way I look at it is, its the first of many, in a years time I'll sell it, get a quad core and only have to spend a few hundred, the first buy is always the most painfull :( after that its just a matter of upgrading each time. This phone is well worth it, dual core, tegra 2, 1 gig ram 1080p recording, its all you need. My first smartphone, its been well worth the wait for the technology to finally reach a point where it becomes a useful multi-device.
