Just loaded up KEIS 2 and it showed a new firmware update.
15-20mins later and apparently I have the following now;

PDA:KA1 / PHONE: JL1 / CSC : JL1 (TNZ)

I was hoping it was going to be Froyo I was downloading but nothing looks any different, and the Settings/About Phone part saysits 2.1-update1.....anyone know what this is?
Build number ECLAIR.DOKA1 if thats of any assistance?

Puzzled owner?

use kies version 1.7 and also use the "kies registry patcher" available on xda

alternatively use odin to flash something that gives you clock work recovery then flash doc's rom using the kitchen and choose JL2 modem + SGS Tools, then use SGS tools to double check 850Mhz is enabled for 3g

otherwise wait for official froyo release for telecom, probably a few months away

talk about slow telecom :(...... might have to manually upgrade it now :(

26 October 2009, the 2.0 (Eclair) SDK was released.

2.0 / 2.1 (Eclair)
Based on Linux Kernel 2.6.29

It may not be "Slow Telecom" but a case of slow Samsung.  Seems to be a problem world wide..

all the i9000 custom roms work for telecom, you just need to make sure you flash the correct modem to get 850 3g band

- Telstra HTC Touch Pro2 - Energy ROM WM6.5.5 20 Oct/Cyanogen Mod Froyo 2.2 - R.I.P
- AT&T Galaxy S Captivate 16GB on XT (now with brother)
- Samsung Galaxy S2 on XT- Runs ICS 4.0.3 Resurrection Remix 9.2
- Business Hours - Work In The Electricity Industry, After Hours - DJ/Turntablist - Will Scratch Vinyl For Free'
- What's next??? S3?

i have a feeling that any modem is ok, but if the modem is not designed for 850mhz you have to manually enable 850mhz using sgs tools.
