My P500 purchased in December has gradually managed to accumulate a fair amount of dust between the outer touch screen and the LCD.

Apparently many units have this problem according to the forums, and it's since been fixed with adhesive tape around the display. Has anyone here had the same problem, and how did you deal with it? I bought mine through DSE. There're a couple of Youtube videos showing disassembly/cleaning, and I'd rather not do this myself while under warranty, but don't really want to be without it for long. Are LG even taking responsibility for this in NZ? It seems hit and miss overseas, depending on which country you're in.

Tivo upgrades to operate with the new OzTivo EPG, support and service. Over 400 performed here so far. See: www.hillcrest.net.nz

I am on my second P500 with dust appearing within days of buying it. They replaced it and again dust appeared. I have just kind of put up with it, although I noticed the other day it was getting much much worst. As far as I am concerned its not fit for purpose so they need to remedy the problem. Like you I am very attached to mine so that is what has put me off sending it off!

I purchased mine in December from Dick Smith. Screen is fine, no apparent dust. A friend purchased one at the same time - it also is ok. Obviously an intermittent problem, not across all phones.
