Just saw that firstin.co.nz have the HTC Dream G1 as one of their 'deals' today, and for $299!!

According to them the RRP is $449.95. That has to be a joke. How old is this phone? It's still running android 1.6

I feel sorry for anyone sucked into buying one. I'm sure the RRP must be the price from years ago, isn't that false advertising?

I always take their prices with a pinch of salt. I think they have someone who looks up the most expensive price that anyone has ever sold what they are selling and says that was the original price.

I am more wary of the ones that say "Why pay XXX..." they don't actually say it was ever this price, it is just a question after all. "Cheese Burger $2.20 why pay $25?" Why because nobody ever sells it for that price.
