Check out this article:
http://phandroid.com/2011/04/25/google-to-introduce-video-calling-for-android-2-3-4-at-io-2011

Apparently video calling is coming in Android 2.3.4 which I assume is a later version of Gingerbread. I honestly can't wait, I've been pretty annoyed at the lack of Phone -> PC video calling capability in Android.

Meh, my N1 doesn't have a front facing camera so who cares... Hope there's some more goodies included with the update.

You should upgrade to an N2, much better.

What they need to do is somehow integrate facetime into android, most people I know own iPhones 4's.

FaceTime is Apple and Apple won't do Linux or Android.

One of the many reasons I don't do Apple.

Apparently the CDMA Nexus S (due on Sprint in the next couple of weeks) has 2.3.4 preinstalled. If 2.3.4 really does have video calling then we'll find out soon...

Your right, but I am sure someone else (independent) can interface the two, it might cost money though which would be fine for some.

You can now use Qik to do video calling between iOS and Android.

I'm disappointed that Android doesn't have any Android -> PC video calling - Skype is voice only and google talk doesn't support video/audio on Android.

I am now running 2.3.4 on my Nexus S, video calling works from phone to PC. I couldn't find any option to toggle between FFC/RFC, neither is there any option to toggle between the earpiece speaker and the rear speaker. It's a good start none the less.
