Had a look at the Acer Iconia A500, quite happy with the system. Just wondering how about other manufactures' releasing plans like Asus/Samsung etc here in NZ. Just wondering if other manufacture will have other design etc as currently I can only see Acer's tablet.

Great question - I'm keen to know too.

I bought an Acer tablet (A500) and I'm loving it - each time I use it I find something new.  That said I haven't got anything to compare it with.
