Hey Guys,
Anyone know of any info regarding buying the new SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB 10.1 in NZ. I tried researching and tried geekzone but no solid leads on where to buy the new tab when it comes out.
Please dont confuse this with the "10.1v"
The only lead I have is Mobicity. I called them up and they said they will definitely be getting it. No details on when and how much yet. I dont mind waiting for Mobicity but I have never bought from them and a bit iffy. So please also share if you have had any experience with them.
I saw a post on geekzone which was a post of pcworld regarding vodafone getting all the new samsung gadgets. Is that info any solid? any dates or prices from vodafone yet?

Go easy on me. I am new here. Infact this is my first post.

First of all: welcome to Geekzone!

The non-Vodafone 10.1 Galaxy Tab is set for release June 8th, with the 8.9 following along reasonably swiftly afterwards (but without a firm date).

Sorry, no experience with Mobicity (I'll probably just get mine from Clove).

Mobicity is fine. Dealt with them, easy to approach if you have issue. I use the Live Support chat to discuss any issue. Their price includes GST.

I bought a Samsung Galaxy from mobicity and they were great. Called me pretty much immediately to confirm my order and to let me know when it was shipped. Like the previous poster said, very easy to approach.

The only thing youll have to worry about really is setting the apns (all the info youll need for that is here on gz), and making a warranty claim as it may take a bit longer to process.

Ya clove is another place i saw where you could buy. But it seemed expensive. If i remember correctly there price was 500punds or 600pounds incl vat. Thats like 1200 nzd. I guess price is not too bad but again never dealt with them so not sure how legit they are.

Clove are awesome, heaps of us here have good experiences with them. Nice to know that Mobicity seem on the up n up too.

APNs are the settings you'll need to input for the data connection to whatever telco you're with.

How different is 10.1V is to 10.1 anyway.

So looks like Clove and mobicity are the two leads. Thanks a lot for that guys.

But I am not really impressed aye. Why cant samsung have it on their site. Its rubbish. Its a static page with few features. No other info.

What about US itself. When samsung says release on june 8th which store do they mean. I have few friends in states. I can get them to ship. If its easy to buy in states then it will be way cheaper, specially when the NZD is so strong aganist the USD.
If its 600 USD in states thats 740 NZD. Plus shipping. It will be around 800NZD.

So what you guys reckoned regarding buying from states. Anyone know any stores or any solid leads in states.

The reason for all this details is that i dont wanna miss out on the first shipment/release. I am pretty sure they will sell out straight away. So might have to wait few more months for another shipment or pay extra prices on trademe or ebay.

How different is 10.1V is to 10.1 anyway.

Thinner/Lighter are the main advantages to me. I was surprised how quickly I got tired holding the xoom and I am not exactly a 2lb weakling

BOTH. Its way better than ipad2 and its way way better than ipad. lol.
The main difference between ipad and ipad 2 is marketing. AGAIN.
Ipad2 has little better camera, processor etc. But nofin great. Its mainy for the ppl who are die hard fans and buy as soon as it comes out.
Regardless of all this APPLE IS AWESOME. STEVE JOBS IS A MARKETING GENIUS. their products arent great (specs wise) but they sell like hotcakes.
APPLE is the reason we have so many products/gadgets. Samsung galaxy is way better than Ipad but its because of apple its there in the first place. Hands down to apple
