Hiya,

I'm trying tahahawa's U81XX Froyo Mod V1.3.5 but I'm having trouble with my handset resetting, and the DPad not working. Otherwise it's a good ROM, and really pleased with it, despite the warning that Vodafone users should try anryl's ROMs (though downloading one tonight)?

So has anyone modded their phone? I'd be interested in hearing from anyone else who'd moved to Froyo!

cheers,

Tom

Hi,
I am using anryl's ROM version 22.

I don't have it resetting or DPAD issues. I have learn't not to have setcpu up to high. 633 is stable.

Calibration is very annoying, you have to run a calibration program every time you start up. Apps2sd is also not working with v22. I don't think I have as good a wifi coverage as 2.1. Both home and office wifi is not great so it is hard to tell.

Hi John,

Well, I'm finding tahahawa's ROM working quite well, but it would be nice to have the optical Dpad working too. I'd prefer wifi though, and although the onscreen keyboard is not perfect, it sounds like I could find Anryls ROM more frustrating.

From what I can tell, there's no perfect ROM, but I'm now comfortable enough with what I've got, and having Android 2.2 is really nice, (though the 16gb microSD is no doubt helping too!).

cheers,

Tom
