For those interested, Domino's now have an Android app.  It covers Australia and New Zealand

w00t. Good find

It first sounded like they had ditched the apps and using mobile web ports. I was just getting use to it too

I had a play with it yesterday, seems to be a very polished app, not just a half-arsed web interface like these things often are, although Domino's usual web interface is pretty good, I like the "real-time" progress clock, not sure how real it is though.

I tried ordering through the full website (on a normal computer) the other day and was presented with an error about not being able to price at the store selected.

But that's not my question.
What is with the three radio button selectors when choosing toppings? Is it something to do with how much of the topping you want to be put on the pizza?

I ordered a Pizza using this app yesterday.

1. The Pizza shop rang me to say that the order went through 3 times, no apparent problems on the app side.

2. I could not close the app. I waited until the order came up completed but the app just hung around. Had to resort to killing the app.

The guy at Dominos said there had been a few teething problems with the app. Might wait a bit before using it again.

Other than that...I got my Pizza and it was very tasty ;-)

If it's anything like the iOS app then it will have problems.
I gave up on using the app on my iPhone mainly because I couln't log in using the same details I use on the website.
The mobile site is fine anyway and works!

When you made the order, did you select the three buttons like in the screen-shot below (i.e. if you were changing the pizza toppings).
Maybe that has some bearing on the 3x orders if you did muck around with these topping buttons?

I'm still puzzled by what these buttons actually do though. Does anyone know?

The Subway phone app is similarly....odd. You have to enter a Subway card number. I bought a new phone and have no idea what my subway card number is. I tried to work out how to pick up where I left off rather than start over and gave up.

The Subway app is very good...but had a rough start also.

Have the feeling though that one day I'll order a sub and I'll order it to the wrong store....so I get your point.

The buttons are for extra toppings...but yes I did add some cheese to the pizza. But your point is that it if the interface is difficult to understand, then it almost needs to be treated like a beta.

Yes, That is correct, The full site has those settings for extra toppings too.

What sort of signal where you getting when you made the order? If you where not getting a very strong signal it may not have received the conformation the first 2 times?

Ive used it once with no real problems, However it doesn't seem to like using phone numbers as login details, Did however accept my email address fine.
