I am considering buying an Android based Tablet (running Android 3.2 Honeycomb).

Right now our net book regularly accesses the main computer HDD for photos, music etc... via XP

Can an android based tablet still access my files on a windows based computer???

Do you have WiFi access to the network?

I use the eStrong File Explorer app to access files on any Windows or Samba share on a network. The latest version of the app supports Domain access, so as long as you have a valid login to the Windows network domain you're trying to access, you can see and access the files you have rights to access.

This can be done on any Android device the app can run on....which is pretty much all of them, right down to the lowly VF-845 $100 phones.

Thanks for that!  Yes I have wifi.

I just wasn't sure if windows logon would let the android access files.
