I am having a hard time deciding between these two phones.
Any thoughts on this would be nice.

I have a Desire Z. The Sensation has a bigger screen and is a bit faster, has more RAM/ROM and storage.
But the reason to get the DZ is if you want a hardware keyboard. :) If you are happy with the onscreen keyboards, you might as well get the sensation as it's a newer phone..

I haven't seen any newer+better phones than the DZ that have the hardware qwerty keyboard (that are sliders/etc)

yeah that was one of the reasons I wanted a Z, but have been comparing the specs.
Gorilla Glass might be nice.
Oh you have a Z too? Did you get an update to gingerbread?

I rooted my DZ as soon as I got. It's running CyanogenMod7 at the moment, it's pretyt been stable, so i'll be sticking with it till CM7.1 stable comes out. :)

if you are planning to get latest smartphone that will last for the next two to three years, it has to be samsung galaxy s2 period. google for reviews, and you will understand why

Yeah, the DZ is still a decent phone (at least if you root it/stick CM on it) and it's cheap. :)

And of course has a hardware keyboard, which is the important part, heh

try googling rocker volume button sensation

if you are planning to get sensation, dollar for dollar, galaxy s2 is far superior

if you want to save money, go for desire z (it has been one year since launch)

To be fair, you can also google "samsung galaxys s 2 problems" (or any other handset model you want to name) and get a tonne of results, including (for the Samsung) poor build quality, so singling out the Sensation seems a little unfair.

As others have said, if you want a hardware keyboard then get the Desire Z. The Sensation is a great handset if you want a larger screen and a higher resolution.
