So, Barnes and Noble just released a new Nook Tablet to replace their aging Nook Color and compete with the upcoming Kindle Fire.

Looks fine, but i'm not a fan of closed Android devices.

Most likely it will get hacked like the Nook Color did. There was a ton of indie dev support for that device.

I actually toyed with the idea of getting a Nook for my wife and putting Android on it but in the end went for the Asus Transformer. The Nook looks nice but it's won't be easily available here and purchasing books is somewhat tricky also.

It's the kind of device that will sell millions probably because folks in the US can go into one of 1700 B&N stores and try it out and be potentially wowed.
