Not sure if I have posted this thread in the correct forum, please move to the correct place if it is not.

My wife has my old SGS with an 8GB Adata micro SD which was recently corrupted for unknown reason. I want to avoid doing the reformatting and try to recover the data on it.

Can anyone give suggestions on what sort of free software I can use to recover the data?

I have downloaded a software which I can't remember the name of, its free version only goes as far as deep scanning the card for the corrupted files and it asks me to buy the software in order for me to retrieve and save the files.

Any ideas?
