Hey Guys,

I recently installed CyanogenMod 7.1 on my LG Optimus 2x. The performance of the phone itself had almost doubled (at least it feels like it), battery life is longer, everything seemed fine at first.

After playing around a bit, I noticed the Bluetooth didn't seem to work and the GPS was playing up (which I got working with an RIL that matched the baseband).

The next day, the phone would not connect to 2degrees saying "No Service" but fixed it when I restored the original RIL. The sound was also not working but after 5 minutes was working again. It seems to only happen after I reboot the phone.

I was wondering if there are other users out there who have experienced the same problems with CyanogenMod and their phones and if they know any fixes.

Also if other users have tried other custom ROMs on their O2x's, I would greatly appreciate what you think of the ROM itself and any problems (if any) you've had with them.

Cheers.

You could always try a nightly build and see if the problems go away

Running 7.1 on the Incredible S, havent come across any problems so far

I'd go through the XDA threads http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1002 and try to figure out the most popular ROM and try it out

Thanks P1n3apqlExpr3ss,

I'm gonna stay on the stable version for now as it is my primary phone, as I mentioned the problems only seem to occur after I turn the phone off and on again. Hopefully the CyanogenMod developers will bring out another stable release soon which may fix the problems.

Have you checked various forums to see if its a common problem or to find a possible fix? If not you could reflash the ROM and see if it helps. I wouldnt imagine it is to hard to run titanium backup and/or create a backup image

To summarise, GPS and 3G service are now fine but bluetooth and the audio are playing up?

@P1n3apqlExpr3ss:

I am going to have a closer look tonight and see if others have the same issues, if I don't find the answer then I'll try reflashing the ROM. The GPS and 3G are working fine now, the bluetooth is still a no go and sound starts working again a couple of minutes after booting up the phone.

@nakedmolerat: Might just be me then, although the Optimus 2x was only added as a supported device when 7.1 was released.

@nakedmolerat: I take it back, seems the Motorola Defy was also only added as a supported device in 7.1

Pretty sure the Incredible S was also part of the 7.1 rollout.

Only bug I've had so far is where the phone got awfully laggy and touchscreen was pretty unresponsive while charging, taking charger out and putting it back in seemed to fix it

Keep us updated on how it goes martin

Will do, I'll have a look at the XDA Forums tonight, if I don't find anything, I flash the phone tomorrow at work.

The wife has an 02X and to be honest, hasn't been the most reliable phone. Currently running CM 202.
No problems with sound that I know of but it occasionally looses connection for hours (without noticing)

These problems also occurred with the stock rom.....
