Hello folks... This is the first of (I hope) many deals we might strike with FirstIn. I am told there are only a few Dell Streak 7 left at their warehouse, so if you order now it should be delivered for Christmas!

Check the Dell Streak 7 deal here. If this works ok, we might even have a forum just for deals...

Why is the 3g listed as XT only? Is it locked somehow?

Best guess, is it would be an AT&T version, imported from the USA?

no 900 band for Voda, just:
850/1700/1900/2100

So guess it would be fine in some areas on Voda, plus it's got the usual GSM/Edge bands built in

Yeah, well with the complete lack of 900MHz VF where it matters that would be fine for me, and it would be 2degrees anyway who also have no 900MHz where I am.

Id only get this if i desperately wanted a XT tablet. The Streak was released with Froyo so it has a phone resolution of 800x480 and has basically been abandoned by Dell. Meanwhile 2degrees has the Huawei MediaPad which has a HD 1280x800 screen and I am told it will get an update to ICS in 2012 all for just $50 more

Thinking about it for the task I want it for I would be better served by a cheap as chinese tablet and putting the money saved into something nicer. the 3g would just be a nice to have as it would be used around the house so in wifi range most of the time, and I can make that all of the time for less than the extra cost of one with 3g...

Hmm, don't think it was as 'exclusive' as we were led to believe http://www.firstin.co.nz/products/dell-streak-7-3g-honeycomb-tablet-6889/ on today for same price

I don't see any claims of it being exclusive...

OK then, maybe not exclusive but what added value is/was there on the Geekzone 'deal' if it was exactly the same as firstin advertise?

A contribution to Geekzone, the same as buying the Amazon Kindle through our page?
