Nice image, as for the app - definitely way too long in coming!

I wonder how long it will stay as number #1 on the 'top free apps' for... ?

Have they got an ipad one yet, as that would be great on a big screen? I think their ipod one is faulty when running on an ipad, as I have it set to not display notifications, and have all the notifications off. Yet it still displays notifications when I am not using the app. Could be a ios notifications bug though I suppose.

Just downloaded and had a quick play with it.
It seems very fast/responsive, but unfortunately it doesn't look like it has much in the way of functionality for dealing with my currently running auctions.

All it really offers is search, Browsing categories, a watchlist, auctions won, auctions lost, and offers.

I would really love to be able to manage my auctions, at the very least having a list of my currently running auctions to see how they are going.

Also, it needs to have the ability to swipe to the next/previous photo when in fullscreen mode.

Its a direct port of the iOS app which was also fairly pants, surprised they haven't taken the opportunity to make it more functional.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

If you don't want the notifications, then why not just use the site via Safari?

I think I'll just stick to TradeDroid.

It isn't as easy to use as the app. It doesn't have a ,mobile version either, so it is the same version that is displayed on a desktop.

It does have a mobile version, but it defaults to the full desktop version of the site on an iPad. If you view it on an iPhone or an Android phone, it displays the mobile site. Try going to http://m.trademe.co.nz and it should display the mobile site regardless.

I find the lack of "My Favourites" could be a bit of a deal breaker

WTF they want to access my calls...

PHONE CALLS
READ PHONE STATE AND IDENTITY
Allows the application to access the phone features of the device. An application with this permission can determine the phone number and serial number of this phone, whether a call is active, the number that call is connected to and the like.

this is insane...

Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity (or laziness)

I agree. When publishing the app, it's easier to request all permissions as part of the installation process, rather than individual permissions.
