MY daughter has a Nexus S (from Vodafone but now being used in the US with T-Mobile) and it had ICS pused to it. She is telling me that battery life is not good with the phone not lasting the whole day even when inactive. She found some forum where it said if you turned off auto rotate it helped with battery life and it did a bit but the phone still doesn't perform as well as it did with GB.

I have a Galaxy Nexus coming and if the problem is OS related, then I suspect it will manifest itself on that phone also.

For those with the Galaxy Nexus (or who have a Nexus S that has been upgraded to ICS) I would be interested to know what sort of battery life you are getting and if you had problems, what you did to try to fix them.

Thanks

I've had a Galaxy Nexus since about November. I have not noticed that the battery life is that bad, compared to previous phones. I can go more than a day without having to charge it, that's with light to medium use (checking emails/maps/latitude/games/camera). I have had some apps on it in the past that did noticeably drain the battery but have since got rid of those (don't ask what they were because I can't remember). Currently running 4.0.2.

Just looking at my phone now it has been on battery now for 19h 57m and it is showing the battery at 65%. FYI.

Thanks. Perhaps the reported problems are on the Nexus S only?  I have ICS on my Motorola Xoom and I have no battery problems with it. But then the Xoom (well my one) has no 3G radio either.
