HTC is now rolling out Android 4.0 to Sensation phones.

Europe is seeing the first wave beginning today. With any luck we will see Android 4.0 on HTC Sensation phones in NZ by the end of the month.

I wonder how that will work with the Telecom branded Sensations? I have been using one for a few weeks now and the only customisations I have seen are the startup screen and some apps. Can't be hard to get thos modified for ICS.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

If they are just properties or apps (Are there any Telecom apps?) the system can usually be changed under them without trouble.

It'll probably still take a telecom specific update which take forever to be released.

HTC tend not to operate that way. My HTC magic phone from Vodafone was updated over the air by Google / HTC.

My Desire didnt get its official update to 2.2 (or was it 2.3? i didnt use it) for at least 4-6 months after the official one came out - its a Telstra Desire and had a telstra ROM loaded on it. I was easily using custom roms by this stage though so it was of no concern to me.
