Hi - is there any way I can get text to automatically resize with the standard browser on my newly purchased S2? When I zoom into text and then double tap, it always zooms out to the whole page again.  Selecting 'auto-fit pages' in settings doesn't make any difference. I downloaded Opera, but don't like the interface - ditto for Dolphin. Is there any simple fix I am missing?

Try double tapping again to zoom in, auto resizes for me.

The default browser is pretty rubbish, I'd suggest getting used to Opera or Dolphin HD until you get ICS, they've drastically improved the browser in 4.0, but you can also use Chrome which is better still, albeit a tad unstable sometimes, but it's improving (currently beta).

Opera Mobile. Plus Google Chrome is only available if you have Android 4.0

As a matter of interest, in the stock browser

Text Wrap: Out of the box the Galaxy S2 doesn’t automatically reflow the text in the webpage if you zoom in. But if you just goto settings and check the ‘auto-fit pages’ option, all is well again.

I'm pretty surprised that the browser interface is an issue, as most people use the full-screen browsing option since it's a small screen device.. If you didn't know, you can enable it in Opera by going to it's Settings -> Status bar: Off, Navigation bar: Off.

You'll find that Opera is quite useful when you are browsing on 2G/3G, because of the built-in data-compression. On an average, Opera (Mini) saves me around 80% data. :)

I tried that, it didn't reflow the text after I selected it, there was no change.
