Forbes reports about AT&T sending unsolicited SMS with product advertising. Apparently if a third party sends you unsolicited ads it's spam, if the operator sends, it's ok.

DoCoMo to launch 3.5G service

Most of us with mobile connections use 2.5G (GPRS and CDMA). Very few use 3G services, just launched in UK, Italy and Australia. But DoCoMo, the Japanese telco is already preparing to release HSDPA, a 3.5G tecnhology with speeds of up to 14.4mbps.

Microsoft and Sonic Mobility launched an iniative to allow Admins remote access to Windows 2003 servers. A package containing a Dell Axim, wi-fi AP, and the SonicAdmin software will cost US$ 962 (or US$ 159 if you qualify). Not sure if this will be available in New Zealand...
