grant_k:manhinli:grant_k: Because of the extra $15 per month (minimum) that Vodafone have snuck into their new plans by virtue of the Talk 1 calling plan
You do realise that it's not compulsory right...?
Unfortunately, it IS compulsory. I phoned a CSR just now to make sure.
In addition to a Broadband plan, you have to sign up/currently be on either of the following:
- A YouChoose mobile plan (our whole family is on PrePay now)
- Any of Talk 1/2/3 calling plans
It's a real bummer that they are now insisting on this requirement, as otherwise I would have signed up for sure. The kids and my missus all thought it was a great ideamanhinli: If only that had held on to their previous packs of included talk 2 into the Ultimate pack Red... that would really give Vodafone a heap of a lot more customers...EXACTLY!!!
That's not true if you follow the normal sign up. It's only the "free broadband 'till the end of 08" offer which required a 12mth contract and either talk 1+ or You Choose.
I think that CSR was crazy - you need at least one calling plan from this list:
- standard
- talk 1
- talk 2
- talk 2 nz+aus
- talk 3
