as above any recorded program seems to freeze during playback after about 30 minutes of playback. Upon hitting the info button it says 0 minutes remaining and all i can do is go back to live tv. If i restart playback at 31 minutes  I can rewind to the point that it froze last time and it freezes again. 30 minutes seems to be the magic number.

anyone else had any problems like this?

I spoke to sky and did the reset thing but to no avail. sky now wants to send a tech to replace the box which so all of my recordings will be gone! uhhhhhhhh.

We used to have issues with recording programs during one particular time slot (Sundays 9:30 - 10:30, from memory). It would only ever record the first 11 or so minutes of the show. I can't tell you how it was resolved. Probably due to not recording stuff in that time slot due to increased reliance on NetFlix :-)

I dont think its a recording conflict as the entire program is there, the box itself just seems to hiccup when its get 30minutes into a recording.

Sorry, I was unclear. When this was happening to us there was no recording conflict either, as it was the only show being recorded. We never got to the bottom of what was causing it.

It is the hard disk in the MySky going bad. We have had this exact problem twice in the last three years. Arrange a service call. Make sure you can show the tech the problem over several recordings when he calls and they will replace the box. That will resolve the issue but you will lose all your unviewed recordings of course.
Just confirm the live TV picture is always perfect and does not scramble or pixellate? And that older recordings are all ok?
