Camera pans, fast moving cars/players jitter and watching cricket is almost impossible.

any feedback with the same issues would be great before i email their support team.

SkyGo is the same on iPad. It was near live then they wound it back, seems ok now

Haven't noticed it before. I can check when I get home. Have you got match frame rate set? What frame rate is it playing at?

Interesting billing scenario this month....

For the past 3 months my bank acct shows Skysportsnow.co.nz as the reference on the monthly fee of $39.99, but this month I see a charge from Fanpass for $39.99. I phoned Sky and they confirmed its them but could not explain why it is different this month. My first instinct was to phone the bank and dispute the transaction, glad I didn't now.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Cricket is looking great today.

Haven't noticed it before. I can check when I get home. Have you got match frame rate set? What frame rate is it playing at?

ATV4K is running 1080/60 at home and 4K/60 at work. i have tried frame match on and off and it made no difference.

Keep frame match on and change to 50 hz option.

I don’t have Sky Sport Now, but in things like TVNZ on demand it fixed jitter by going to 50 hz

I would switch to 50 Hz and turn frame match OFF. Apple TV thinks that SSN is 60 fps native.

I have found the same issue and have reproduced it on PC, Chromecast and ps4. It's very frustrating!

I'm not sure how other online services process the feed from sky but for the cricket they look so much better, the ball travels so smoothly. Presumably it's to do with these services providing a 50fps stream.

In other posts people have said that sports in nz are captured at 25fps, so I'm not sure how these other services provided the 50hz stream but surely sky could provide this for ssn too.

i changed the ATV4K to 50hz and it made a big difference but you can still tell its a stream. it's no where near as smooth as the mlb.tv , spark sport etc that i watch all the time.

is anyone else using a logitech remote to control their ATV? i find in the SSN app it jams on one direction when using the remote sometimes but when i exit back into the main menu or use a different app its not jammed on. Going back into the SSN now app it's still jammed. only a reboot of the ATV clears it up.

I've found that on the 4K using the logitech remote, but in other apps as well (TVNZ). If I recall, using the bluetooth remote cleared it for me.

On Android devices, the highest quality stream is what they refer to as "720" and equates to the 3mbps stream.

On a PC with a browser, two additional options are available:

"720HD" - a 4.5mbps stream, which I *think* is 50fps.

"1080" - appears to just be the same 3mbps stream as the "720" option (ie. not 1080p resolution).

Sky actually serves a 8mbps 1080p50 stream but it doesn't appear to be available through any official apps.

No - the Apple TV SSN app is pretty basic. There is a lot of functionality missing that is available on other versions (like iOS). On the iOS app you can chose between Auto, 3000kbps, 1600kbps, 800kbps, 400kbps, 240kbps, and 150kbps.

Thanks - yeah same as Android; 3mbps maximum quality. Perhaps I am being unreasonable, but now that I know they exist (because I tried the Kodi addon), I find it extremely frustrating that we cannot access the 4.5mbps and 8mbps streams through their official apps.

i think Apple prefer to use their adaptive streaming for the AppleTV, i really wish they wouldn't though.

I am OK with the adaptive streaming as long as it delivers maximum quality. Unfortunately it is hard to tell what is being delivered.

Can anyone tell me what Max rate is available per device? iOS is clearly 3000kbps which is a lot less than the 8000 stated on their FAQ's.
