I have the installer coming round in the morning. I threw in BeIN Sport for the English football so it came to $61.

When I spoke to the operator she ask where I got this number from. When I told through Geekzone she let out a little chuckle.

When I ordered it this morning, she didn't ask where I heard about it from.

She did ask if it was a new installation but I can't remember her exact wording. I said yes. It's new to me. The decoder that's sitting there is the wife's. Nowt to do w' me but I will move it aside before the new one turns up on Friday.

Just rang Sky because we were on the Igloo2Sky promo rate of 19.95/month, due to expire in July. They've automatically extended it until end of July 2018. Noice!

I'd pay $9.99 more and get the HD ticket. Seems silly not to spend a bit more to get your sports and movies in HD (TVNZ1, TVNZ2, TV3 and Prime will be in HD without the ticket).

YMMV.

Agreed about HD! I'm paying about the same amount but without movies, without sky mag but with HD ticket. Don't care about sky movies ... prefer vudu.

We had a HD ticket once got rid of it and to be honest I hate sport thats for the hubby and I dont notice much difference in the movies with 1,2,3 prime etc already in HD so as a 1 income family Ill keep the $10 :) last telemarketer deal I got was the same for $67 so stoked its gone down in price

Can't read the detail without being an NBR subscriber so... no.

But at $20 I am guessing it is Sky Basic? If not, deal of the decade!

Call to cancel and you may be offered a deal of Sky Basic for $20 a month (pricing lasts for a year) and SOHO free for four months without a contract.  It's hardly a secret, but there's only one way to find out if you can get the deal.....

I just moved to Morrinsville and I had a Sky account in my name at Tauranga where the M-In-Law still lives and uses Sky.  Someone suggested that I could get a second  room install  at Morrinsville as the sat dish is already installed.  Asked Sky and they said no , I would have to  get a new account.  Asked them what offers they are giving.  Will be interesting to see what they come back with..

@old3eyes - the original deal discussed in this thread is still available - basically half price for a year.
