Ok, so I can find 23 transponders now, but still none of them report having any services?

Furthermore, the list of transponders reported by the scan doesn't match /include those expected or reported by others on this thread, namely

.....

This is in the satellites.xml file sourced by the vu-solo box from "OE-Alliance". (Maybe this is wrong? Should I source a satellite file from somewhere else?)

<sat name="160.0E Optus D2 & Measat 3a & Koreasat 6" flags="1" position="1600">

.....

You can try the version below - works on my Solo2 & Solo4k both running openvix - which required an edit of /etc/tuxbox/satellites.xml then a reboot.

    </sat>
    <sat name="160.0E Optus-D2 & Measat-3a & Koreasat-6" flags="1" position="1600">

        <transponder frequency="12570000" symbol_rate="30000000" polarization="0" fec_inner="5" system="1" modulation="2" />
        <transponder frequency="12546000" symbol_rate="30000000" polarization="0" fec_inner="5" system="1" modulation="2" />
        <transponder frequency="12290000" symbol_rate="30000000" polarization="0" fec_inner="5" system="1" modulation="2" />
        <transponder frequency="12330000" symbol_rate="30000000" polarization="0" fec_inner="5" system="1" modulation="2" />
        <transponder frequency="12370000" symbol_rate="30000000" polarization="0" fec_inner="5" system="1" modulation="2" />
        <transponder frequency="12410000" symbol_rate="30000000" polarization="0" fec_inner="5" system="1" modulation="2" />
        <transponder frequency="12690000" symbol_rate="30000000" polarization="0" fec_inner="5" system="1" modulation="2" />
        <transponder frequency="12734000" symbol_rate="30000000" polarization="0" fec_inner="5" system="1" modulation="2" />
        <transponder frequency="12730000" symbol_rate="30000000" polarization="0" fec_inner="5" system="1" modulation="2" />
        <transponder frequency="12730000" symbol_rate="22500000" polarization="0" fec_inner="3" system="1" modulation="2" />
        <transponder frequency="12287000" symbol_rate="30000000" polarization="0" fec_inner="3" system="1" modulation="2" />
        <transponder frequency="12727000" symbol_rate="30000000" polarization="0" fec_inner="3" system="1" modulation="2" />
    </sat>

I edited my satellites.xml as above and bingo all is well. It looks like the satellites.xml file supplied by the OE Alliance, which includes openvix, needs updating. I will post on their forum.

Until Lyngsat is updated, then you'll need to manually update your XML file as you now know. Just hold off on any updates to your openvix until you see the new data on Lyngsat. Or keep a copy of your modified XML file and replace it whenever you update.

Success,

I managed to get there via using the scan function via the Signal finder function and the 4 sets of transponder numbers posted earlier, I couldn't get it to work any other way.

Just transfered the channels to a new bouquet after each scan.

You shouldn't need to move any channels after a scan as all the services retain the same IDs in the background. A rescan of the 3 new transponders (for Freeview) should be enough and your existing bouquets should work.

If you still have issues try the system=0

CrossEPG v0.9.1, thou the version likely isn't the issue. Check you have modulation=2 and try both system=0 then system=1

In the NIT tables Sky is now broadcasting on KoreaSat 6, they have some frequencies that are too close together and pick up the same mux. The full list of NIT table frequencies is:

12287
12290
12330
12370
12410
12455.2
12484.8
12530
12546
12570
12610
12650
12690
12727
12730
12734

The 12287 and 12290 frequencies are too close, as are 12727, 12730 and 12734. My DVBViewer setup had a problem with this and said 12730 and 12734 were both valid so I got all of those channels turning up twice. It ignored 12727. It locked in 12290 and ignored 12287.

In the NIT, taken from the backup t.p on 156E

NIT info isn't always right..can have old data

12287 V (another backup freq inactive 156E )
12727 V (this is Sky 156E backup home transponder) accessible on Channel 999

The 12734 H and 12546 H are leftovers from the previous nit info

The bottom 12650 H is a leftover from the Channel 156E 777 test

I had to move from the Last scanned folder. as each time I scaned a Tp it emptied that folder

although it has now seemed to populate part of my older bouquet i had been using. I only know enough to be dangerous lol
