razor2000nz:

I received this offer via email a couple of days ago (exisitng customer) I took them up on it, as it worked out to be $7 a month more than what I was currently paying for Starter, Sport and recording.

I'm in this boat, haven't had anything through from them. I'd think about that deal.

Wakrak:

Sky Sport Now Annual Pass $399.99

Sky Sport Now: The Home of Sport – Stream Live Sport Online

Fine print isn't bad on this:

Annual Pass deal valid until 6 July 2025, auto-renews at full Annual Pass price unless cancelled. $150 discount applied at checkout.

As someone who hasn't had Sky in a long time, is this online/broadband served now?
ie is this an app on the TV or do I still need some old fashioned external box?

And are there limits on simultaneous device access etc?

edit: ok should have just read further down the page!

call them and ask for the deal they are offering to new customers. You can get every channel for $80 a month for 12 months, not bad in my opinion

$400 per year is what $33 a month for all Sport content, for just one year before price goes back up.

That sounds pretty good really.  Has there been a better offer than this recently?

The promo code for the Sky Sport Now $399 annual plan is JUNEPROMO2025

In case someone wants to try and add it to their current plan and see if it stacks like they used to.

I was told the coupon should work till the end of July but that might be a risk as everything says 6th July expiry.

I have the SSN and that $399 price is a decent $150 discount on the grotesquely overpriced standard rate.

The product itself is poor. The compression on the video makes it quite blocky at times. SkyGo is the companion streaming product that accompanies the regular satellite product is noticeably better.

What really annoys me is the reduced retention of past events. You can only go back less than one day to view things in the programme guide. Anything older won't play despite the programme guide going back over a week.

When my 12 months expires I won't renew. I only regularly use it for rugby, cricket and golf all of which can be sourced elsewhere.

Parents have been paying full price on quite an extensive subscription, including multirooms and extra channels. Called up and got their first discount in years.

Said we would cancel everything and just get the current Sky Sport Now annual promotion deal instead (expires in a few days), and get Netflix, Disney, etc, so wouldn't need anything else. I think this helped as they surely have to believe you will actually cancel everything to offer you a good deal. They will ask you about your viewing habits to understand your needs before they craft an offer for certain packages.

Was offered Starter + Sport for like $54, I asked what about those 2 plus Entertainment and a My Sky, they offered like $85. I asked about another combination, and saw they all pretty much equated to around 26% off full price. These deals last for 12 months.

I think if I pushed for more, I wouldn't have received it, but I didn't actually ask, so can't be sure. The conversation had gone on a while and I was the one asking about adding extra packages. Was happy to get the 26% off quite an extensive subscription.

I’m a little out of touch on plain old Sky. Does it still require a dish on the roof? That would be a disincentive for me.

you can get the pod or the white box and run it off the net. Sky sport now is a separate app on most TVs or you can use a streaming device like google tv, chromecast Apple TV. I took down my dish when we did Reno’s

Hopefully they come up with some deals for the entertainment side soon, as they could potentially be losing some channels: https://archive.ph/j1rKZ
