johntynz: looks like my invite got lost too, but I am excited with the offerings. from what i see though, it looks like it needs a few shows from the CW network, and real NZ content
will still get it but of course everything takes time & money
If/When you come out with an android app, make sure it is not samsung exclusive like TVNZ, Sky and TV3 all do.
Same with smart TV's.
bagheera: does all the content have subtitles for the hard of hearing like netflix?
riahon:bagheera: does all the content have subtitles for the hard of hearing like netflix?
I asked and was told No. Unfortunately for me and a lot of my friends it means we probably wont take up this offer as good as it is. One thing I like about Netflix is that even the commercial DVD's that didn't have subtitles are subtitled on Netflix.
NonprayingMantis:old3eyes:BigPipeNZ:old3eyes: Looks like a great service but won't be using it until one of the devices I have at home is supported as I don't have a smart TV or want to connect a laptop to the TV / HT amp. I have an Apple TV, Chromecast, WD TV and TiVo but I can't see it ever being on the last two devices though I could cast it from my Chrome browser to my Chromecast.. Changing channels would be a bit of a pig..
you can airplay to your Apple TV. I've been doing that from my iPad. Works great. (for the kiddies, actually easier for them to select content by touching it too)
I don't have and don't want airplay.
Because you don't have any other Apple devices?
Why would you not 'want' it?
Regards,

Because I don't like Apple. I bought the Apple TV only because it was the only "legal" device in NZ for streaming HD movies.

What's the big hang up on subtitles, just turn up the volume, get an hearing aid induction loop stereo, or better speakers?

WOW!!! I never thought of that, hold on let me try it..............................nope didn't work.
itey: looks good, but for this to be viable there need to be ways of watching on the TV without having to plug in a computer. Needs to support xbox360/ps3 and major TV's from release.
