As suggested in the very long Lightbox announcement thread, this one is for the beta testers only. If you are not a beta tester do not post here, instead use the other one.

When posting beta feedback it is important to give Lightbox as much information as possible, including but not limited to:

ISP and service (DSL, VDSL, fibre, cable, 4G)
DNS (ISP or third party)
VPN or not
Device (Windows/Mac/iOS)
Browser or app
HDMI out, dual monitor, Airplay
Date/time
Programme (Season/Episode)
Time issue happened within the episode
Issue description
Error code if any present

As reported in the other thread 'House' doesn't have the option to play any of the episodes in all seasons available (play button is missing). PhantomNVD has tried on his iPad and his laptop (chrome and IE) and he could play most episodes.

I'm using:

Windows 8
Chrome
No extensions enabled
Vodafone-exTCL network ADSL

Please increase the buffer size? Netflix gives a 5 min buffer, and I watched a whole movie yesterday - once it built the initial buffer - without issue.

watching S1E1 "Orphan Black" and every 5 mins it takes a minute or two off to buffer :(

Fair enough I'm only on a 1Mb/s ADSL link on a 4.7km copper line to the (fibre backbone) exchange... but surely they'd equate, especially as the slowness of my link would negate the DNS geo-unblock difference with local and offshore content (as EVERYTHING is slow :)

*To confirm, dns4me is OFF when playing the lightbox content

Time issue happened within the episode every 5 mins or so? (will try another episode and write times)
Issue description too often stopping to buffer content (seemed fine yesterday with kids movies like Dora and Thomas)
Error code if any present n/a

Re-posted from other thread and a recap of previous issues

Current setup;
Using the PC it stutters.
ISP - Vodafone DSL
DNS - With Unotelly and without - no difference
VPN - None
Device - PC AMD Phenom II x4 840 (3.2GHz) with 8GB RAM 64-bit Win7
Browser - Chrome Version 36.0.1985.125
Browser - IE11 Version 11.0.96
Date/Time - 5-August around 1930 hours

I was playing Doctor Who S01E01 - Opening Credits (TARDIS flying through wormhole)

Faults;
No button on the page in iPad Safari browser
Doesn't always return focus to the player window in Chrome - need to minimise all other windows to get to it.
Creating an account failed part way through and sending a new code did not resolve. Only resolved because a kind GZr sent the link to the app store.
Mixed Content message. Although I don't get a mixed content message in Chrome there is a problem. Here's a screenshot of the SSL message;

Niggles;
iPad app has better playback than browser.
Doesn't remember where it was in an episode.
A back button from the program to the previous position on the program list would be good too but I can live without that.

I can't see House play button on either Chrome or IE (system details above) but can see it on the iPad app.

agree, but like that it promoted the episode to next logical when I switched from laptop to iPad :)

I see this on my Win7 (Chrome/IE11) top left, and the "x" on iPad top left does this too?

Issue description At around 6:06 the video stops dead, sound stops for a second then there is a moment of dialogue and then A/V both stop dead, but the timer keeps going.

Edit: For those saying Chrome isn't presenting a mixed content warning.... It does, check the silver shield in the right hand side of the address bar "One or more scripts skipped loading"

Minor point, but if you set a profile to limited ratings (e.g. G and PG) it can still browse the full selection of items, just not play it. Since some of the titles and or cover images may potentially be 'not suitable' it means it's not really possible to log the kids in as their profile and let them go for it. Sure, it says "You're not permitted" or such if they try to play it, but it would be nice to at least have the option of not showing the content at all.

This is the same issue that some people had on the Xbox 360. Some guys daughter signed into her profile and was met with this image.

This is a very strange one.

I compared Dr Who Season 4 Episode 1 (as noted on Lightbox as Partners in Crime) with the same episode on Netflix (which lists it as Season 4 Episode 2) and really strange, the Netflix version is pitched about a semi-tone higher than the Lightbox version!

The show was probably captured at 1080p/50 being a British show so we would expect the Lightbox version to be at the right pitch. But since not all US TV's support 1080i/50 I guess they had to alter the framerate to 1080i/60 for their streaming resulting in the pitch change.

And content has been edited. For example in Top Gear Season 6 Episode 1 on the Netflix version, in the introduction Clarkson mentions that James Nesbit will be in the reasonably priced car. In the Lightbox version that 4-5s is missing. Strange.

[EDIT] I just compared the pitch of the Netflix version with a BBC broadcast of the same episode and it's pitched correctly so Lightbox is sending down a version pitched a semi-tone slower. Now that is really strange.

I see this on my Win7 (Chrome/IE11) top left, and the "x" on iPad top left does this too?

There is a x on the page when viewing the video but once you get to the episode list you have to either search again or scroll to where you were. At the moment not a problem but when the number of series increases it could become annoying. Like I say just a niggle :)

Nope, just tried at work. The browser does not have a back button in the window and pressing the browser back button takes you back into the video. Can we have a back button in the application window please.

My work computer is a better laptop than I have at home and I would still say that the video playback stutters.

As I mentioned on the other thread, playback stutter was one of the biggest complaints with the Premier League Pass.

I'm getting weird sound problems on this episode. There's a weird ticking noise on the right channel and the voice audio seems to be echoing. Doesn't happen for other House of Cards episodes though.

Biggest bugbear for me is the progress bar (play, pause, time-line etc.).

Doesn't dissappear sometimes
Re-appears when I breathe on the mouse

Mouse pointer/icon hangs around so I move it and.... well.... see above.
Few features would be nice - finishing one eposide and next is ready to go in 15, 14, 13.... etc.

ISP and service - Telecom/UFB
Device - Windows 7 8Gb RAM
Browser - IE11 or FF
Output - HDMI to TV (but also on another PC, HDMI connected to monitor)

But overall.... Nice.
