Hopefully a 1st Feb go date.

Well I hope that One News updates their background TV Display screens (or at the images on them at least) as they look horrible and blocky when they are close up to them.

You might be on a road that allows 100km/h but if you only have a scooter you're limited to only going as fast as the scooter can go.

The current 3News and Prime News seem to share a lot of video reports, I wonder if that will continue under the new format? As for the youtube video, they don't even seem to bother putting "amcam" in the corner anymore. I guess everybody is a 'citizen reporter' these days.

It really is something that they should be ashamed of when twitch streamers with free software can put out better looking presentations than either of the news channels.

It's the On Sky bit that concerns me.

Sky provide Prime to satisfy their non monopoly of kiwi public interest sports events. They're under no obligation to make that HD in the freeview world, as evident by the SD res since startup.

They do show major shows from time to time, such as Top Gear when it was still around, and it would be great to see those in Full HD, 1080i like the others.

Kinda ridiculous given TV1 showed the Olympics in 720p and dolby surround sound way back when in 2008.

Hopefully a step in the right direction about to take place...
