Hey there,

Can anyone confirm, guessing by looking in the SkyWatch magazine, if Bathurst will be on a PopUp channel or on regular Sky Sport 1-4?

Will be disappointed if it's on a PopUp as that means I can't use FanPass to watch it.

I want to watch it and give you money to do so, but don't want to have to pay for stuff i'm never going to watch.

Its usually on standard Sport channels.

If its pop up, Im gonna be ******.

Got good news and bad news for you......

Yes it sounds like it will be on Fan Pass, but they are saying only on Desktops (i.e. browser). Guessing that means it is going to be on a pop-up?

Fan Pass have a post on their FB page about it, would be good to add to the rants to ensure they get the message.

If you are on Facebook, there is a page called 'Supercars Championship NZ coverage'.

They've been a good source of times for sky. Although we'll get the practice and race coverage, it doesn't look like NZ will get any coverage of the Bathurst popup channels out of Oz with doco's etc.

There understanding at the moment is the Thursday, Friday and Saturday coverage is going to be on pop-up channel 55, however the race on Sunday is possibly going to be on SS4

Also, sky are going to be showing Pit Lane Live on the Friday night.

And as a FYI, this year the race start is 15 minutes later than normal to allow for the 10th Anniversary passing of Peter Brock. I understand there is a parade of his cars I think.

Good news!

If you believe the hype from the above mentioned Facebook page, Sky buckled under public pressure and this week are showing the Fox Sports Bathurst pop up channel on Sky Sport channel 055.

It started yesterday with a full race replay of the 2006 race. Up to Sunday there is highlights of past races. Tonight from around 5:30 I think there's a 2 hour highlights of the 1977 race, and a bit later on highlights of the 1984 race. There are also hour long documentaries featuring Bathurst Legends.

Check guides for times.

Can confirm, was watching a replay of a race on the pop-up channel at lunch time today.

I have heard that this pop-up channel will be made available on Fan Pass from Thursday, but only for Mac / PC (Browser?) only, not via any apps.
