was wanting to know can i copy off videos i have rec using mysky hdi to watch on my computer for my own use

because i wanna get sky if i can do this it would be perfect

Sky are far from perfect though aren't they.

Directly copying from the HDi box is currently a big fat no...

There are some options to copy recorded unencrypted channels using additional equipment but I dont have the details. Maybe another forum member can provide a link to a previous post discussing these options?

There are a couple of ways to achieve what you want, and they involve getting a Sky subsription but using a decoder not supplied or supported by Sky. One of the options is covered in this thread....

At one stage I had a dvd recorder connected to my MYSKI HDI box. It was okay for recording live tv or something you had recorded, but it had to be done in real time.
