Hi everyone,
Just joined this forum. Want to know what everyones view is on GSM-GPRS-WCDMA.
Is it possible to upgrade to 3G (WCDMA) directly from GSM without using a seperate GPRS solution which will make the migration cheaper.

Whats the vote for WCDMA against CDMA2000 in terms of performance and reliability etc.?

ENJOY!

I thinkmost of the GSM providers will go through GPRS, so they can measure the market for "lifestyle" applications, because this is what is making money apparently. Think of Vodafone live!, O2 Active, T-Mobile TZones and other products. Some of them may even stop on EDGE instead of going all the way to 3GSM (WCDMA).

It's going to be hard to measure 3GSM x CDMA2000 performance, since there are not many networks around in the same area to have a fair comparison.
