Hi, I want to buy a phone for my wife for Christmas. Would like to spend under $300, must have excellent battery life, Camera and music are not a major issue, but does need to be sturdy. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Telecom or Vodafone?

For telecom i've been eyeing up the 6275i - Its $250, if you go back to the mobile listing it shows the discount (for some reason that page doesnt) but i have seen it for $250 in store at dick smith and others.

I bought my partner an earlier version of this Motorola K3 - Graphite for her birthday earlier in the year - nice and small phone, look good and works well.  It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some of the more geeky phones (like my Nokia E71) but she doesn't need those features.

edit:  It's Vodafone.
edit #2: oops just re-read the title, you wanted Nokia...

The Nokia 5310 is probably heading to around that price. Nice phone with very slim form factor which women tend to appreciate.

The 3120c is a good price at $250 for a quad band device. Slim candy bar form factor that, while not as popular as flip phones with woman, is quite appealing to the fairer sex.

I've had a play with these phones at work and they nice little devices.
