Not sure if someone has already mentioned this (apologies if so), but I have just been told that the N900 will not be sold by any Network Provider in NZ......... Can anyone pls verify and confirm?

I think that is true, there was some offhand comment about Nokia not intending to sell the N900 in the pacific market.

Vodafone said they are going to get N900 into NZ but I dont think it will be very soon though, best bet will be middle of next year or end of next year.

jabme: I have since recieved another email from Amazon to say that my N900 has been shipped! :)

Nice!

So you were told to expect a delay, the 15th, and they now shipped...okey dokey.

When did you place your order?

Exactly. Only 11 hours between the two emails. I'm not complaining though! Ordered on the 22nd November, probably a day or two after NZtechfreak I think.

The N900 has NOT been confirmed for any markets outside of those currently shipping. Anyone telling you anything else is being anything but truthful.

Funnily enough, it was Vodafone who told me that no one would be retailing it. I guess time will tell......

I am ordering mine via Australia since I have moved here recently. Should get it by next week.

I am actually headed back to New Zealand over Christmas. If anyone is interested in getting one please PM me cuz I can definitely get stock by then. However, it won't be as cheap as Amazon etc as I am paying in Aussie dollars.

Cheers Brent.

For the newbies here who don't know, Brent works for Nokia, so he is placed to know these things.

That does not mean you can send all criticism his way though, he is Nokia NZ, and just a spoke in the wheel, not to blame for product delays etc etc.
