Bugga looks like i wont be getting mine until after Xmas, never mind cant do much about it, it states the delivery date changed to 21 December. Anyway congrades to NZtechfreak getting your phone early and very helpful with the info laid out for the phone.

Just a question for enandrews, are you getting 2 phones, i cant remember? If so are going to split you your package into two and send to NZ separately to bypass the GST. or are you going to keep them in onepackage send to NZ declaring 400.00 NZD. Sorry just interested to what i am going to do?

2 phones, 2 separate transactions on Amazon, 2 separate packages.

Doing that for multiple reasons...1 to avoid tax, 2 so my mate has own GST reciept for his phone, 3 Shipito does not offer package consolidation, unless you pay for premium membership so not worth it.

Perhaps he shipped it surface mail via a shipping route passing Somalia - perhaps with some surface shipping company associated with Aeroflot.

Awesomesauce. The Amazon->Shipito transition went perfectly. It was literally a case of waking up to an email, paying the automatically calculated mail fees, and then going back to bed. I'm, well impressed with the services ease of use.

Now time to read up on more pro-N900 literature and ignore any Maemo bashing.

If anyones interested Zagg.com (the peeps who do the Invisible Shield products) have 50% Off Everything Today Only.

Here's the link for the N900 Invisible Shield...

Pretty sure I will be ordering myself one today even though I don't get my N900 till after Xmas Tongue out

EDIT

Upon review of some articles about the InvisibleShield paired with touchscreens I have decided to put on hold getting one (atleast for the screen area of my N900 anyway). Some reviews mentioned that it has a slight tackiness or rubbery feel to it that can provide some resistance to swiping fingers across it. Which to me sounds like it makes using the touchscreen harder or simply put more annoying.

I've decided I'm going to do a bit more research before I buy any sort of screen protection.

Glad this worked so well for so many people here, helped them get their N900.

Nice.

I too take a positive attitude, negative reviews or personal opinion don't interest me...but I do take notes of issues or bugs found, as then I know what to expect and possibly how to fix the issue, or mitigate it.

I save anything and everything I find that I feel will be useful once I have the N900, such as popular downloads, how to fix reported bugs, how to maximise battery life, customizations, how to enable certain features like Maemo downloads repository for beta apps, dev apps etc etc...

I have loads of saved pages of tips, all ready to go.
